Our peach melba consists of a sweet and buttery shortcrust pastry, topped with peaches and fresh whipped cream, which is then covered in a soft fondant. Ultimate bliss in a pastry if you ask us.
Originally peach melba is a dessert of peaches with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream, invented in the 1890’s by the French chef Auguste Escoffier at the Savoy Hotel, London, to honour the Australian soprano Nellie Melba. We think our take on the classic is delicious, but don’t take our word for it, try this tasty treat yourself!
